Who are we?
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the visitor’s IP address and browser information to help detect unwanted comments, alongside the data displayed in the comment form.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service can be found at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to everyone alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download images, and retrieve location information from them.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to have your name, email address, and website address saved in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will save several cookies to remember your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days and screen option cookies last for one year.
Login cookies are retained for two days, and screen option cookies are kept for one year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your session will remain active for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only holds the ID of the post you edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other sites
The posts on this site may contain embedded content (such as videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other site.
These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, perform embedded tracking by third parties, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. If you have an account and are logged into this site, your interaction with the embedded content can be tracked.
Who do we share your data with?
When you request a password reset, your IP address is added to the reset email.
How long do we keep your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve your subsequent comments rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who open an account on our site, we also retain the personal information they provide in their user profile (if any). All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (including changing their username).
